rise of the industry.

i know this is late, but i couldnt figure out how to do this... i talked to you today mr burns. (10/13/09)

the 2nd picture, [standard oil co.]

the standard oil co. knocked alot of small companies out of buisness.
the picture i believe, shows the oil company "taking over" and pulling everyone into their "plan".

titans of industry

John D. Rockfeller-
when he started working he gave 10 % of his paycheck (from the 1st one) to his church.
he also gave donations to dension university and other baptist collages, he funded alot of things and helped alot of people.

Andrew Carneigie- Carnegie gave $40,000 for the establishment of a free library in Dunfermline. In 1884, he gave $50,000 to Bellevue hospitol medical collage "to found a laboratory, now called the Carniegie labrotory." he also gave away most of his money to libraries, schools, and universities in america

philanthropic endeavors- i like them both, because John gave to families and helped alot of people, and Andrew gave alot to libraries and schools, which helped alot of people too.
