PROJECT (kala may g, vanessa a, nicole s, jordan m)
Dear editor,
We have a big problem with the sanitation in the city. Sanitation affects our health more than anything. The main cause is pollution, which leads to health problems, disease and death in animals and their habitats. Unsanitary conditions were things such as, drinking water, food, hygiene and working conditions. We should have more vaccines, antibiotics and more opportunities to help prevent unsanitary conditions. Sicknesses that are spreading include, malaria, MRSA, hepatitis A, diarrhea, tuberculosis, etc. Most of these sicknesses are diseases, which don’t have a cure yet. The factories and industrial products take up half of the pollution caused in this city. The smoke coming from the factories lead to a lot of the diseases listed before. Oil spills also cause unsanitary conditions for a lot of animals. By losing animals, we also lose a lot of meat to provide for everyone, which decrease protein in our bodies. These diseases are decreasing the population from day to day. Fast food restaurants don’t clean their supplies as much as they should. They also reuse their oil, which can cause diarrhea.

immigrants! creativity!
This doesnt tell us: how many kids they have, why they look so sad, money problems.
My choice: the guy thats standing looking @ the camera (3rd from the left) in the suit.
His thoughts:
Why is this person taking a picture of me. oh my gosh this line is long. my life is over, people took my things, my home, and i dont know what is going to happen next. if i have a disease i could be sent back. i dont know how i feel right now. my emotions are mixed up.
This is their story, who they are:
This guys name is, Roger Henry Clay. He came from Texas. He is 36 years old, and born july 17th, 1943. This man WAS a buisnessman, had alot of money, wife and 2 kids, his purpose in life was to make others happy, and make peace with the world, and others. His kids are gone, he doesnt know where they are, his wife in front of him, and he doesnt know whats going to happen next. He got checked in, he had no diseases, he got followed in.

rise of the industry.
i know this is late, but i couldnt figure out how to do this... i talked to you today mr burns. (10/13/09)
the 2nd picture, [standard oil co.]
the standard oil co. knocked alot of small companies out of buisness.
the picture i believe, shows the oil company "taking over" and pulling everyone into their "plan".

titans of industry
John D. Rockfeller-
when he started working he gave 10 % of his paycheck (from the 1st one) to his church.
he also gave donations to dension university and other baptist collages, he funded alot of things and helped alot of people.
Andrew Carneigie- Carnegie gave $40,000 for the establishment of a free library in Dunfermline. In 1884, he gave $50,000 to Bellevue hospitol medical collage "to found a laboratory, now called the Carniegie labrotory." he also gave away most of his money to libraries, schools, and universities in america
philanthropic endeavors- i like them both, because John gave to families and helped alot of people, and Andrew gave alot to libraries and schools, which helped alot of people too.
